CYSEC NG is a youth-led cybersecurity and digital resilience organization committed to strengthening cyber awareness, promoting responsible digital citizenship, and empowering vulnerable groups, especially women and young people, to thrive safely in an increasingly digital world. At Cyber Security Challenge Nigeria (CYSEC NG) we focus on identifying Nigeria’s next generation of cyber security professionals, connecting Nigeria’s best and brightest to the cyber security industry, creating an enabling platform for skill acquisition, youth empowerment and local content development in the area of information and cybersecurity towards national and economic development of Nigeria.
With your help, we are reaching over 100,000 young minds monthly through our platforms, programs and conferences and impacting over 5,000 with knowledge on Cyber Security through our Cysec Academy

Support Young Passionate Minds
The global cyber security market is projected to grow from USD 155.83 billion in 2022 to USD 376.32 billion by 2029.
Employment of information security analysts will grow by 33% in the next 10 years – much faster than the average for all occupations.
Cybercrime Magazine concludes that women now make up approximately 20% of the global infosec payrolls. Which is, an encouraging improvement from six years ago, but still woefully shy of the 50 percent range that would represent parity.

SheRoots Bootcamp
She Roots Bootcamp is an initiative by CYSEC NG to foster inclusion of tech girls and women in africa, encouraging them to learn relevant digital skills and thrive in the global tech space.
In this first cohort, about 1,200 applications were received and over 600 women participated from several countries including Ghana, Rwanda, Nigeria, Qatar, UAE, United Kingdom, Uganda, Cotonou, Kenya, USA, etc.

My top most aspiration is to be a certified professional in my field and also give back to the community.
My journey into tech started off with the SheRoots bootcamp and it has been a fun experience getting to do weekly projects, quizzes and even solving puzzles.
The bootcamp made me really interested in Cybersecurity. I made my research and GRC caught my attention that is the governance risk and compliance aspect of cyber security. Setting policies and procedures to be followed. I’m also interested in web development.
